With Age of Wonders III, Triumph Studios (the maker of the series) addresses many of the problems in the earlier games, though not without a minor caveat or two. However, they had problems, chief of which are their ugly presentation, problematic progression systems for heroes and spell/magic mechanisms which are a bit easy to exploit.
